bonde do role 03/16/07
Definitely the most amusing show we witnessed at SXSW. I wasn't exactly sure what we were going to get when we headed over to the Vice Party over at the Victory Grill to see Bonde do Role, but it defintely wasn't 3 Brazilian kids MCing their way through a set of remixed, chopped and/or screwed 80's hits. Oh, and Marina, their lead singer definitely took the award for most-suggestive-moves-at-sxsw. Seriously good times - and the performance was just absolutely killer to boot. Oh and to top it off the Austin Ice Cream Man gave us free ice cream during the middle of the dancing craziness that was the show. In and of itself, the free ice cream may make this the best show ever.

Last, but not least, check out this setlist, it's a total piece of art. Definitely my favorite set list ever. This is what you get when a hot Central American girl asks a guy in a band for the setlist - pretty little stars next to the song names. Perfect.

The free ice cream was also pretty awesome. Tecate followed by a Lemon Chill is surprisingly satisfying.

The name of the tracks is on Portuguese and the correct name is "Ventuinha" not "Vetvinha", I'm certain, I'm brazilian ;)
