the elected 06/10/04
As a follow up to yesterdays post - heres the Elected's set from 06/10/2004 at the Echo in Los Angeles. As mentioned on previous posts 06/10/2004 was a fantastic night for music lovers, especially those who are into Rilo Kiley. Basically, the night served as a vehicle for various Rilo member's side projects.
Bassist Pierre de Reeder performed as the opening act, followed by Whispertown2000 (who's set you can download here). Jenny Lewis also had a set (download audio here and video here) performing the bulk of what would later become her solo record, Rabbit Fur Coat. Finally the Elected shut down the evening with what was probably the best set I've ever seen them perform.

its too bad you weren't able to record them last night. big bummer about the sound board :-(
did you have a good time? i couldn't believe how quickly the place cleared out after margot nuclear... sad.
yea - to let everyone know, i got to tape the Elected last night and had plugged my Microtrack into a power strip. Unfortunately as I was saving the Elected file, the Sound Guy (who is a great guy) unplugged me from the electrictiy. Zip - only saved a partial file. Shame Shame Shame.
also, alot of people left after Margot, which is unfortunate cause Elected put on a killer show - including the appearance of a mystery guitar player in an owl outfit. Nice.
