Bob Wiseman. Interesting cat.
Bob opened for fellow Canadian Final Fantasy, when they visited the Proletariat a couple of months ago.
Seeing that he was opening for Final Fantasy I decided to check out a couple of Bob's songs on his MySpace page, and took a few minutes to wander around his Flash and visual heavy homepage. Pretty soon I was interested to see how this was all going to translate into a live show.
I was not disappointed. Bob brought his little Apple laptop and a projector up on stage with him - and then proceeded to sing fun and slightly off-the-wall songs along to various graphic displays. Particularly entertaining was his 5 minute short adventure film, Iguanasaurus, which incorporates footage from various old school, 1930-1950 Robin Hood/Dinosaur/Monster films and written text which describes Bob's part in said "visualized" adventure. All this accompanied by Bob playing a live score on the accordian.
Need I say more.
Live MP3s:
Soundcheck
Stay Untraceable
Iguanasaurus
3 Men
Fluke Fluke Fluke
Snare Kik Rack Tom
Uranium
Dead Inside
- Silence -
