voxtrot 04/01/06
Quick post tonight!Had the pleasure of catching Austin-based band Voxtrot the last time they came through Houston, on the eve of the release of their second EP - Mothers, Sisters, Daughters & Wives (say that 10 times, quickly).
It was a great show, and captured pretty damn well. Enjoy!

i downloaded the files, but they seemed kinda crashed while being played...
Van - Sorry man, im not sure what problem you are having. I d/l'd them all from the site, and they sound fine? Can you explain what you mean by crashed?

There are skips during the song, and they sometimes sound like in "montage-esque" choas. Sorry my english ability is so limited that i explain it so vaguely...
i've downloaded them again and tried them on both iTunes & Windows media player, still the same. :(

Just wanted to add my 2 cents regarding the Voxtrot recordings.
I'm not sure how it was recorded, but it sounds to me like the soundman was solo-ing different channels on the board during the first song.
Not sure why. Kind of interesting.
