Anyway, sorry for the side note, I just had to share.

So have you heard of Bishop Allen? They've been blowing up lately - blogs, web boards - even wired magazine. 2006 has been an interesting year for Bishop Allen. They've been releasing EPs each month, with each EP named for that month. So far we've got January thru May - 4 songs on each EP.

You have to admit thats a fairly massive and impressive undertaking. They have to record 48 songs this year - for regular bands that would be 4 albums aka 5 to 10 years of output. Nice one.

I taped them a couple of years ago at a tiny little club. I think there were 15 people there. Great set though. Cool band, good people - just a good happy vibe to their tunes. Played a couple of cool covers as well, Talking Head's Psycho City and Fugazi's Waiting Room.

Let's digress - I met this girl a few months ago. She's cool beans, however she's not really a fan of the music I listen to, which is quite painful for a guy who's as into music as I am.

Her main complaint with the music I've played for her is that "there's no cup."
"No cup?" I asked, "Whats a cup?"
"You know, a cup! Like half-full, except in your music, its not even empty - there is no cup!"
Nice. I thought. No cup.
"Not so," I replied. I then proceeded to pull out some of the happier tunes I had handy.

So the good news is that Bishop Allen has a cup. Big one actually. Here's to cups!
